Measuring Success Beyond the Canvas
Like anyone building a business, I want Bartosik Studios to grow. I want my paintings to reach new collectors, find their way into beautiful spaces, and continue evolving creatively.
But I also want the studio to represent something beyond the artwork itself.
I don't want to measure success exclusively by how many paintings I sell, how many people follow my work, or where my art is displayed. If a donated painting helps an organization raise funds, that's meaningful.
If spending a day creating art with students gives them a chance to discover something new about themselves, that's meaningful too. And if sharing these experiences encourages someone else to volunteer their time or support an organization in their own community, that's another kind of success.
The longer I paint, the more I realize that creating something valuable and creating something meaningful aren't always the same thing. The best opportunities are when you can do both.
