Christopher Bartosik is a North Carolina–based contemporary abstract artist known for creating large-scale, one-of-one paintings for luxury residential interiors. His work combines acrylic paint with industrial materials including fiberglass resin and chemical techniques to produce richly textured surfaces with exceptional depth and movement.
Living on the scenic coast of North Carolina, my creative journey is deeply rooted in both the industrial and the elemental. Chris Bartosik transforms WD-40, carburetor cleaner, and volatile industrial materials into museum-caliber abstract works — each one impossible to replicate.
Each work is created through layered chemical reactions that can permanently damage the canvas if miscalculated. The process requires timing, control, and acceptance of irreversible decisions.
