Why be normal?

Sometimes, I introduce unconventional materials—like WD-40 or carburetor cleaner—just to observe how they interact with paint. There’s a certain thrill in not knowing exactly what will happen; it’s a bit like conducting a science experiment in the studio.

It’s this spirit of exploration and willingness to embrace the unknown that keeps my work fresh and exciting—for both myself and those who experience it."

The process starts with building the frame

"Not every painting involves these experiments, but when I feel inspired to try something new, I let that impulse guide me. Occasionally, the results are surprising—some chemicals have even eaten away at the canvas, teaching me valuable lessons about what to avoid in the future. But that’s part of the journey: each attempt, whether successful or not, adds to my understanding and shapes my creative process."

If you’re looking for art that goes beyond the surface—art that sparks curiosity, conversation, and connection—I invite you to explore my work.

"Let’s experience together the beauty of what can’t be seen, but can always be felt." - CHris

THE PROCESS

How my process of painting has evolved.

"For years, I immersed myself in the world of landscapes and realism—spending countless hours with charcoals, pencils, and chalk, striving to capture what I saw in front of me. While I enjoyed the process, I eventually realized that simply recreating what already exists in the world isn’t where my true passion lies. When I try to paint within those lines now, it feels limiting, almost as if I’m tracing someone else’s vision instead of expressing my own."
