My artistic journey began much like many others with charcoal, graphite, landscapes, and realistic subjects. I spent years learning to accurately reproduce what already existed. While those experiences developed my technical skills, they eventually revealed something more important.

I realized I wasn't most excited by recreating reality. What truly inspired me was creating something entirely new. Abstract art gave me the freedom to explore movement, energy, texture, and emotion without the limitations of recognizable subjects. Instead of asking viewers to identify an object, I invite them to experience a feeling.

Every collector brings a different perspective to an abstract painting. One person may see the ocean while another experiences a memory, a landscape, or simply an emotional response to color and movement. That openness creates a relationship between artwork and viewer that continues to evolve over time.

For me, abstraction isn't about avoiding realism. It's about creating something that has never existed before, a visual experience that belongs uniquely to each person who stands before it.

That endless possibility is what continues to inspire every painting I create.
